This recipe for Cola Chicken Wings is a unique twist on the classic chicken wing recipe.
Check the ingredients:
Chicken wings (the best among wings): 8 pieces
Coke: 1 can
Salt: appropriate amount
Cooking wine: 3 spoons
Dark soy sauce: 2 spoons
Soy sauce: 2 spoons
Ginger slices (optional, better): 5 pieces
Cinnamon (optional, better if available): half or one stick
Now follow the simple steps below:
Make a knife on the raw chicken wings, marinate with a spoonful of dark soy sauce and two spoons of cooking wine for at least two hours [you can omit the marinade if time is tight, but you need to make a knife]
Put water and green onion and ginger slices in the pot, boil the chicken wings in the pot, remove, rinse off the foam with cold water, and drain
Put a little base oil in the pan over low heat, and fry the chicken wings until golden
One can of cola, one tablespoon of cooking wine, one spoon of dark soy sauce, two spoons of light soy sauce, and a little salt. Add half a stick of cinnamon for more flavor.
When the soup is stewed until there is still a bowl of water left, taste the saltiness, and add a small amount of salt if necessary, so that it is not easy to make mistakes.
Stew until the soup thickens. See the picture for the concentration. Basically all the juice is wrapped on the chicken wings. There are only about three spoons of soup left. Take it out of the pot.
Some additional tips:
The first step is to remove the fishy smell. Add a few slices of ginger and a few green onions to the chicken wings with clean water, boil them, skim off the foam (this means the blood has been boiled out, remove the fishy smell), then rinse with clean water, drain Dry (to prevent splashing of oil when frying in the next step)
Rinse with cold water to make the chicken skin crisper and taste better.
When the soup is about to thicken, it will be collected faster than at the beginning, so you should keep an eye on it when it is almost the same, otherwise it will fall short if it is burnt
If you like sweetness, use Coca-Cola, if you don’t like sweetness, use Pepsi
The marinated raw meat is blanched for another 6 minutes until the pot is boiled and the salty aroma in the meat will not be cooked
If you blanched first and then marinated, the meat will shrink after blanching, which is not easy to taste, and secondly, the meat quality is easy to change.
The use of cola in the recipe may seem unusual, but it adds a surprising depth of flavor to the dish. The recipe involves a few steps, including marinating the chicken wings, blanching them, and then frying them until golden. The sauce is made by combining cola, cooking wine, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, and a little salt. The chicken wings are then stewed in the sauce until the sauce thickens and coats the wings. This dish is sure to impress your family and friends with its burst of flavor and unusual twist on a classic recipe
